Artist dawn jian is set to present her first solo exhibition in Hong Kong, “light lingers in gentle skies”. Organised by the Hong Kong Chinese Culture Development Association, with supporting organisations including the Global Women’s 3UP Foundation, The Media and Art Division of SCUT Alumni Federation of Hong Kong, Shimen Middle School Hong Kong Alumni Association Limited, Armuseum, and Happy Lucky Cultural Communication Co., Limited, with BRICS BUSINESS as media partner and Wyndham Social as Venue Partner, the event embodies the Association’s mission of fostering youth-driven artistic innovation. Comprising dawn’s solo showcase and an interactive art creation space, the exhibition aims to deliver a unique, immersive art experience to the public. The exhibition will feature dawn jian’s latest 2025 works, centring on humanity’s symbiotic relationship with digital screens and prompting viewers to ponder: “In a world where virtual and real intertwine, how do we find our place?” Her art transcends the boundaries between reality and the virtual, merging physical and digital realms to explore uncharted territories beyond limits.
“light lingers in gentle skies” invites audiences of all ages and backgrounds to delve into the intersection of art, technology, and human experience, embracing the boundless possibilities of creativity.

About the Artist: dawn jian
dawn jian is a Chinese-American artist born in Guangzhou currently based in the Greater Bay Area. She has recently exhibited at Shanghai ART 021 (2024) and the Hong Kong Affordable Art Fair (2025). Her layered, mixed media compositions are on the verge between the digital and physical and invites viewers to pause, introspect, and forge deeper connections with themselves and the world around them. She is a 2013 graduate of the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA).
